Applied AICryptoBusiness Dev

Karim Baba.

Self-taught, crypto-native full-stack builder focused on payment infrastructure for AI agents. In the Ethereum ecosystem since 2021, starting in DeFi and now working in agentic systems. Build and ship end to end: a multi-agent orchestration desktop app in Rust and Tauri, on-chain trading systems, and the operating stack for a supplies business I co-founded, including automated quoting, an order pipeline, and an automated phone line that executes workflows, transcribes, and summarizes every call. I publish open-source agent tooling and run in-person business development across the San Francisco startup scene.

Experience

Business Development & SF Liaison, Contributor · 1Claw

San Francisco · Since 2026

1Claw builds security and custody infrastructure for AI agents: key custody, an LLM firewall, and cross-chain transaction signing.

  • Owned 1Claw's San Francisco presence, sourcing partnerships, design partners, and investor relationships in person across crypto and AI conferences, hackathons, meetups, and founder circles.
  • Produced content and community programming to grow the protocol's awareness and credibility.
  • Lead technical education for 1Claw, building the material that explains key custody, LLM firewall behavior, and cross-chain signing to founders and developers evaluating agent infrastructure.

SMM / BDR · Multisender.app

San Francisco · Since 2021
  • Built a signal-gated lead generation engine that ranks organizations on likelihood to buy a batch-transfer product, scoring recurring payout mechanisms such as payroll, grants, and points above one-time events, using structural quotas rather than score weights so a single news cycle cannot dominate the pool.
  • Ran daily content production for a verified brand account, meticulously selecting the surface before the topic: a standalone post caps near 850 views, while a well-placed reply under an active thread can exceed the entire follower count.

Selected Projects

Warden · multi-agent orchestration for AI coding

GitHub

A desktop app that runs several AI coding agents against one codebase at once, handling coordination, isolation, and review so parallel work does not collide. 80,000 lines of Rust and TypeScript across 220 source files.

Tauri · Rust · React / TS

Phosphor · agent infrastructure for DeFi

DeFi through Agent subscriptions users already pay for. NEAR intents for chain-abstracted execution, 38 MCP tools spanning liquidity provision and Hyperliquid perpetuals, every write simulated and gated behind desired policies the agent cannot issue without human approval. 50,000 lines of TypeScript, 993 tests, open source and proven to work.

TypeScript · MCP · NEAR Intents · Hyperliquid

DevSignal · autonomous developer-news publisher

first shipped product, 2026

Personalized developer-news scraper that turns noise into an autonomous AI publisher. Built end to end at an AWS hackathon.

Next.js · Supabase

Cliptic & Teleprompt · creator tooling

On-device vertical-video caption editor with a deterministic caption engine, plus a shipped iPhone teleprompter-recorder.

TypeScript · React · Vercel

Crypto

  • In crypto since 2021, with deep, hands-on DeFi and Ethereum experience.
  • Early to the L2 wave, among early users of Arbitrum, Optimism, and zkSync.
  • Active trader since 2021, with significant personal volume across cycles.
  • Regular at SF events: NEARCON, Cursor Compile, Founders Inc, and more.

Strengths

  • Tooling as leverage. I build the systems that accelerate my own delivery, then apply them: Warden coordinates several coding agents against a single codebase, which produced 50,000 lines of Phosphor and a mainnet deployment within three days.
  • Security-first system design. I established that an autonomous agent must never approve its own actions, and implemented the enforcement layer: transaction simulation, per-session budgets, destination allowlists, and human approval outside the agent's control.
  • Commercial judgment in architecture. I designed Phosphor to run on inference the user already pays for, reducing the marginal cost per user to zero.
  • Full business ownership. I delivered the operating stack for a supplies company, covering quote generation, order pipeline, invoicing, telephony, and carrier compliance.

Education & Learning

  • Self-directed study in software engineering, smart-contract architecture, and DeFi mechanics.
  • Acellus Academy, high school.
